Yezi Lin (b. China) is an artist whose practice interweaves film, performance, and writing. Shaped by long-term experiences of living and working across cultures, her work engages with themes of diaspora, surveillance, identity, illegal migration, decolonization, and anarchism. Employing a rebellious yet humorous symbolic language of self-representation, she uses art as an act of intervention—questioning institutions, cultural rights, and human relations under globalization, while addressing the fractures and tensions of cross-cultural existence. Drawing on colonial histories, cultural heritage, archives, and literature, Yezi constructs intimate yet politically charged narrative spaces that begin from the individual and resonate collectively.
