Volcano's journey triggers her struggle with the internalization of orientalism and the disillusionment of Western culture. The storyis drawn from personal observations, interviews with friends, and reflections on life experiences. Volcano's cross-cultural experiences prompt her to reflect on her upbringing, leading to intense self-loathing emotions. Ultimately, she realizes that the core issues revolve
around trust and acceptance.
